Lessons In Leadership

Pushing Forward In A New Year!

"The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves."
- Ray Kroc

Excitement is in the air! 2005 is going to be a tremendous year for everyone here at Leadership-Tools.com.

We are proud to announce that we recently completed an important project that we have been working on over the past year.

In past issues under "Site News" you may have noticed that we've been in the process of completing a special e-book entitled Pushing To The Front.

We've finished converting this wonderful self-help classic, written by Dr. Orison Swett Marden. Pushing To The Front was originally published in 1894.

You may be asking yourself, "How could such an old book be relevant today?" Well that is exactly what makes this book so special.

Dr. Marden is considered by many as the "father" of the American success movement. His teachings have inspired millions all over the world.

Many of today's most notable experts on self-improvement (I.e., Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy, and others) base much of their teachings on the initial work of Dr. Marden.

The initial success of Pushing To The Front when it was published in 1894 paved the way for a follow up edition. In 1911, Dr. Marden created a second volume to his work. The E-book that we offer to you consists of both volume's - over 800 pages of high-value leadership training information.

Upon reading the multitude of life lessons and the timeless wisdom packed within these book covers - we believe you will refer to this book often and will choose to pass it along to your children - and your children's children.

One of the lessons Marden teaches in the power of making use of your "spare moments". Although this project took quite some time for us complete, this E-book is now available to you, free of charge, as a result of our ability to press on - one page at a time.

Whatever you have been wanting to start in your own life - begin it now! Taking the first step is always the hardest. Use this book for motivation, self-empowerment, or just to take some time to reflect and be grateful for all that you currently have.

Here's to your success, and to Pushing To The Front in 2005!

Meeting for Results

Our Open Door Policy

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."
- Mark Twain

Open communication is vital for a healthy work environment. Leaders who understand the full importance of open communication, encourage team members to approach management with new ideas and/or any concerns at any time.

These leaders adopt what we call an, "Open Door Policy", meaning you are always welcome to share your views and offer suggestions for the betterment of the team's success.

In the same spirit, we want to take this time as we begin a brand new year, to improve communications between our organization and our valued readers.

Making communication flow easier is an important task. This is something that we assess often because it truly is that important. We need to know what is on your mind, what your needs are, and what you'd like to see from us in the future.

In addition, we want to be certain that you have multiple ways of staying in touch with us. To this end, we offer the following:

Whitelisting
One of the biggest issues we have in our efforts to communicate with our readers is that some of our subscribers are not receiving our newsletters because their spam filters are blocking our emails – even though we NEVER use spam.

Increasingly, ISPs (ex., earthlink.net, comcast.net) and mail services (ex., Hotmail) are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of customers' InBoxes. Sometimes, though, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you do want to receive.

Please do not blame your ISP or mail service. The volume of spam is enormous and the algorithms to figure out what is spam (and what is not) are complicated. So mistakes do happen

We all have to deal, unfortunately, with the fallout of what spammers do to the Internet.

Unfortunately, this issue is not going away anytime soon. However, you can “whitelist" our site address with your email provider.

Whitelisting simply means you will add our site to your list of acceptable sites that you wish to allow past any spam filters.

Check your email provider instructions on how to whitelist us so you never miss another issue of our newsletter.

Web Log (BLOG)
Another way for you to stay in touch with us is to add the Leadership Tools Web Log (BLOG) to your RSS reader. Not sure was an RSS reader is? No problem, simply go to our BLOG If you have a Yahoo home page you can easily add our BLOG to your list of daily content. Just click on the Yahoo button at the bottom of our BLOG page.

You will notice that many of our BLOG entries cover various leadership issues, site news and lessons based on the teaching of Dr. Orison Swett Marden and other notable authorities.

You won't want to miss it.

Site Map
Finally, we have also provided a brand new Site Map for our readers. The Site Map was created in an effort to make navigation of our site easier and more convenient.

In summary, in the spirit of adopting an "Open Door Policy", you now have:

  • the ability to ensure you receive out newsletter by whitelisting our site address
  • access to our daily BLOG
  • the ability to more easily find what you are looking for through our new site map

We look forward to hearing from you in 2005!

"Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong."
- Peter T. Mcintyre
