The Coffee Test

by Frank Cummings
(Edgewater, NJ, USA)

Have the teams pair off in two's.

Have each person write a step by step procedure on how to drink a cup of Coffee/Tea/Soda.

Then have the pairs exchange procedures.

Now each person must take a drink using only the steps written.

This is done twice, once without them knowing that the other must use their partner's procedures and once with the knowledge.

Observe and discuss the results and the related lessons that will enable all parties to improve their communication, listening and leadership skills.
