At Leadership-Tools.com, our privacy policy is written with your safety and security in mind. We recognize that your privacy is of the utmost importance.
Nobody enjoys signing up for a newsletter and then finding their inbox full of mail from companies they've never heard of. That doesn't happen here. We don't sell email addresses, we don't rent them, and we don't hand them to partners.
This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We've written it in plain language.

A cookie is a small piece of information a website stores in your browser. We use them to understand how people find and move through the site so we can make it better.
When you first visit, you'll see a consent notice. Nothing optional is set until you respond to it. You can change your mind later through your browser settings, described further down.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get visited, which tools get downloaded, and roughly where in the world our readers are. It tells us that a few hundred people opened the performance appraisal page last month. It doesn't tell us who they were.
Google stores this data on its servers and processes it under its own privacy policy, at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you'd rather not be counted, Google offers a browser opt-out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Furthermore where we use Google's Search Box on Leadership-Tools.com, we are required to post the following from Google:
"The search box on this web site ("Search Box") is powered by Google
Inc. ("Google"). You acknowledge and agree that Google's privacy policy
(located at https://policies.google.com/privacy)
shall apply to your use of the Search Box and by using the Search Box
you consent to Google using your personal data in accordance with its
privacy policy."
Leadership-Tools.com uses information from Google Analytics to track the number of visits to the website, browsers and operating systems. No personally identifiable information is obtained from these cookies. We use the information that Google Analytics generates relating to our website to create reports about the use of the site. These reports allow us to update the site and improve your usage of it.
In order to do a
year to year comparison on any data collected by Google Analytics, we
have set our Data Retention settings at Google Analytics to 38 months,
after which Google will automatically delete the data.
If you do not wish your data to be collected via Google Analytics, you can install its opt-out browser extension or add-on via this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/
The site's typefaces load from Google's font service. That means your browser makes a request to Google on each page, and your IP address is visible to Google as part of it. We don't receive that information and we don't use it.
We use the following third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our website:
These companies use cookies and web beacons in their ads to ascertain how many times you've seen an advertisement. We share this information with these companies, but do not provide them with any personally identifiable information for cookie or web beacon use, so they cannot personally identify you with that information from our website.
You may opt out of personalized ads for over 125 different ad networks. Click here to do that.
Some third-party advertisements are served by Google. Google's cookie enables it to serve ads to our visitors based on their visits to other sites on the Web. You may opt out of personalized ads by visiting the Google ad opt-out page
This link from Google provides more information about how Google manages data in its ad products.
We receive an affiliate commission for some of the products/services sold on Leadership-Tools.com.
The affiliate services platforms we currently use are Amazon and Sitesell.
Clicking one of those links sets a cookie from that company so they can attribute the referral. It costs you nothing extra, and it never affects what we recommend. Their privacy policies are below.
Our pages include sharing buttons provided by ShareThis, which lets you post a page to Facebook, X, Pinterest, and elsewhere. ShareThis sets its own cookies and operates under its own privacy policy at https://www.sharethis.com/privacy/. We don't receive any data from it.
You can set your browser to block cookies, accept them selectively, or warn you before one is set. Check your browser's help section for instructions.
Blocking cookies won't stop you reading the site or downloading any tool. A few interactive features may not behave normally.
Leadership-Tools.com has not sold or shared the personal information of site visitors in the past twelve months, and we have no plans to. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. To make a request, write to richard@leadership-tools.com.
